Latest Sewing Project: Green With Envy

Thursday, January 30, 2014

Hey lovelies,

Today's post shows my one of my latest Kayenar projects, its nothing major but I thought I'd share :).

It is my green asymmetrical jersey skirt!

I got this fabric as a birthday gift (I know I have the best friends ^_^).Now this was not the intended shape or look I was goin for at all.
It turns out that I cut the fabric dead wrong, so I did the simplest thing I could think of. I just brought part of the skirt to 1 side.

This ensemble made me feel like a woman and it made me feel very sexy even though I seemed to underestimate how voluptuous I really was. It honestly really made me feel good and like I could do anything :).

Anyways, take a look...

P.S Excuse my fabulous legs and booty ;)

I paired my kayenar skirt with a blouse I found at a flea market. The first time I saw it, the colours and the pattern called to me. And here it made the whole outfit very festive.

Hope you liked my post and my skirt!
Until next time mi loves,
Don't forget to smile :)
XOXO

Mini Review: L.A. Colours Lipstick

Thursday, January 23, 2014

Hello lovelies,

Hope you're having a great day. Today I would like to talk about a lipstick I bought recently.

Now in the packaging the colour looked completely different and unfortunately there were no testers avaliable in the store. So I bought it hoping that it was the colour I was imagining it would be in my head.

Lo and behold it wasnt.

But! I tried it and I love it. It was the perfect nudeish lippie for my lips and as the packaging said, it was really moisturising and it made my lips feel soft. So now it is my favourite because you can hardly tell that I'm wearing it.

Check it out, it is the L.A. Colours Vitamin E & Aloe Vera Lipstick

As you can see there is a reddish tint to my lips, so this lippie would be perfect for the office or for those girls who don't favour the brighter colours.

Hope you guys liked my mini lipstick review.

Until next time lovies

XOXO

DIY

DIY:His Shirt, Her Skirt

Sunday, January 19, 2014

Hey lovelies!!

I just realised I haven't posted anything for the new year and Janurary is almost over. But never mind that, for I am here! With a new simple and easy diy project.

Does your dad/brother/boyfriend/friend have t shirts or polo shirts ready to be thrown away? Save them! You can donate them...

Or

You can turn them into a cute fashionable skirt.

Here we will take an old but not too old male shirt to make our very own skirt. All you will need are:

1) A old male t-shirt. For this project I used a polo striped shirt like the one below.

2) scissors

3) An elastic band for the waist

4) A sewing machine or just needle and thread (if you don't have access to a machine)

5) pins

Firstly, laying the shirt on a flat surface and with it turned inside out, draw a horizontal line under the arm and if you would want a longer skirt, cut a little ways above this point.

Since the shirt should have some stretch we don't require alot of seam allowance.
For this step I wore the skirt and then pinned it according to my curves.

(Be sure not to pin actual body!)

After pinning I took it off and sewed the sides and cut off any access.

Then I took the elastic band (which was cut according to my waist measurements) and place it to the top of the skirt making sure to turn the skirt on the wrongside.

Take the elastic down about an inch and fold the top of the skirt over the elastic so it is covered.

Pin skirt, making sure not to pin the elastic between, then sew.

Then you're done! Your skirt is ready to wear !

Check it out!!

I also did this to another shirt and this is how I wore it. Remember if you want a longer skirt just cut the shirt above the arms and alter accordingly. I don't mind the length because iy reminds me to keep working on my legs.

I hope you enjoyed this DIY

Until next time lovies,

XOXO
