Denim Cap

Friday, April 25, 2014

Hey lovelies,

It been a minute since my last post. Hope everyone is having a fabulous day!!

Today I share my latest project. And by now I think you all know I am a denim and recycling freak/fanatic. So of course this hat is patchwork denim ( of course).
I took apart an old visor and saved the peak and the sponge inside for the head area and began constructing my cap.

I cut six sections for the top of the hat in a kinda curved tapered pattern. Sowed them together attached them to the peak, with some extra cuts and stiches and ....

Voila!...a denim patch hat/cap.

Hope you guys liked my short post,
Until next time (hopefully soon),
xoxo Kei!

DIY

Its a Skirt Epidemic

Friday, February 07, 2014

Happy Friday Lovelies!

So I've been doing some of cleaning especially in the clothing department, and I found several shirts that I didn't really like anymore (as shirts). So being the thrifty person that I am I turned them into skirts.

And I went a little skirt crazy.

Now they may not be party or special event worthy. But I figured that they would be cute enough to go shopping in, or over to a friends or just to wear at home. Whatever the case, I have new skirts!

I wanted to show you guys how I would dress them up.

Shirt #1

This skirt has a little gold accent that I love, so I decided to add my old/vintage belt (I've had it for eons and decided to resurrect it), some gold earrings and of course denim.

Shirt #2

If you didn't notice, I added the sleeves to the bottom and since they weren't wide enough I made a horizontal slit on both sides.

Shirt #3

Here I chose three different casual looks for the one skirt.

The skirt below was previously a dress that I altered, so I thought I would still share. It was a cute print.

Hope you have a safe and fabolous weekend!
XOXO
Kei!
